In Romans 3, Paul levels the playing field for all of us. Stated plainly multiple times, but culminating in the ever popular Awana verse since it was one of the shortest we ever had to memorize as kids – verse 23.
For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Here, Paul ensures that we all know that none of us are righteous and we are all sinful. Any arrogant pride that comes from knowing the Bible or living in a certain way is thrown aside. The newly minted Christian and the ever faithful Christian of 50 years are in receipt of the very same grace of God that we all so desperately need. We are all equal in God’s eyes and He loves us each the same.
