Never forget that forgiving some one is for you much more than it is for them. Harboring resentment in your heart is not the way that the Lord wants you to live. It actually steals joy from your life. It compromises your gratitude and thankfulness for any blessings that you’ve been given. It stares in the face of the grace that the Lord has so freely given us.
If you have someone in your life that you know you need to forgive, forgive them in your heart. It’s time to move on. None of us are perfect. If you feel the need, let the person know that you have forgiven them. But at the very least, learn to move on in your own heart so you can move back closer to God and find the joys of life that are sitting right in front of you.
