A colleague and I gave a presentation to a group of doctors at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh yesterday. As we walked the hallways, I found myself thanking God for the blessings that we have in two healthy children.
As you can imagine, the children there being treated for all types of issues and sicknesses, many of which are life-threatening or debilitating. Many walk the halls with capes on or don various superhero garb. It’s a magical and heartwrenching place all at the same time.
Unfortunately, our perspective on life can be so dependent on what is going on around us at that very moment. Our outlook can be so cloudy and we often look at things based on a relative scale.
As you think about whatever struggles you have going on in your life right now, remember that there are children fighting for their lives and those children have parents that are scared to death themselves. I honestly can’t imagine that. If that describes you, please let us know so we can join you in prayer.
But if you’re one of the lucky ones, like me, with no similar hardships, count your blessings today and say a prayer for those that are struggling.
